Hey, sorry for the late reply! I've had a bunch of random crap going on the last day or two. Normally we tend to reply in Discord to people, but I'll go ahead and give my longer thoughts on here. Your prose is pretty excellent and suitably descriptive. The only single nitpicks I can really point out is that there are some sentences that could probably be broken up into smaller ones to throw in some sentence length variation. Some of the character dialogue also doesn't quite line up with their in-game voices, but that's just fine- it still gives the sense that you know how to write dialogue well, just that you'd need to be a little more familiar with already written material and characters. Boar Knight, for example, is more brusque and not especially eloquent in her word choices. Still, I can't really fault someone for that, and the samples look excellent. To quickly respond to your bullet-points; - Two girthy updates once or twice a week is just fine
- Devs can disappear when life gets in the way, that is fine, but I'm happiest when they give forewarning or mention that they'll be gone for a while. That lets me shift manpower around.
- The group-chat is totally harmless. We used to use a Rizon IRC channel, but Discord is great, being able to hold onto logs for forever, inline files, and searching for keywords. etc. etc. We have several old/gone devs who just lurk, so everything is good.
- I can be a bit inflexible, too. Sometimes I work ahead on some quest or bit of story and can be a little obstinate when that's caught up to and people have other ideas. Many of the devs do come up with excellent ideas, however, so it's worth changing some things every now and then. As before, it's all good.
- Boring is fine. I roll my face on the keyboard most days, take a fat ogre shit, and then roll my face on the keyboard more. You'd be in similar company.
- Writing fast is good. Discipline is even better- putting in the time to write /something/ in regular intervals is a pretty huge part of writing. If someone isn't putting a pen to paper on a regular basis they won't be improving. That is encouraging to hear.
- On the setting, we've been aiming to follow Gat's setting documents where possible. There's some major differences already, given the difference between a story/history and an interactable game, but minimizing that where possible is the idea.
From what our project manager and I discussed you'd definitely be a great fit for the team. When you get a chance, you should brave Discord and speak with our project manager (Hetros). From there we could invite you to the main dev Discord and hash out specifics. We're looking forward to seeing you, at any rate.

If this qualifies as a late reply, we're onto a great start already, ha! (But seriously, the most important thing is that I hope it's all resolved, or as resolved as things go.)
Most of your issues I've got zero qualms resolving, and if you've got a dev-design book (Gats' or otherwise) + voice notes, when I'm writing 'real' dialogue and things, that'll help tremendously. Plus, tweaking phrases and things is something that doesn't bother me in the slightest! I'll look forward to pestering you, and Hetros, and thanks for giving this submission a glance!
