My suggestion is to raise the accuracy for the playable characters. When I was fighting the penguins, I could rarely hit them because they kept lowering my already-too-low accuracy. It shouldn't take me five minutes to kill two enemies that die in two or three hits. I think this would help a lot with the gameplay.

The accuracy formula does need to be looked at again. Right now a base character should have something like 70% Accuracy, but that is then further confounded by the enemy Dodge Rating and abilities they might be using, and also if they are Defending or not. Can do.

Definitely second brycenorris' suggestion. Having low accuracy may be inherited from table top RPGs like D&D (Not sure myself since I'm a JRPG rather than TRPG guy). But there's a difference between playing with your friends, laugh about your character keep on missing while having pizza and beer. And playing in front of your computer keep clicking your mouse and seeing a miss icon over and over.
Played Towerfag's (yes that is his/her actual user name) Towergirl Kingdom Conquest, and your Towergirls Subtitle Pending. I have to say I like your game better so far. The foundation feels much more complex than TK:C in a good way, and even with the limited content there's already a more sense of depth to the characters and world than TK:C. The music and dialogue really fit the tone of a medieval style fantasy and I really dig the Saturday morning cartoon style since it gives a certain campiness (again, in a good way) to the game that says: Yes, we are taking the game serious enough to put depth to the world and character, but not so serious it becomes Nolen's The Dark Knight.
I'll keep an eye on this project for now, and if I feel confident this project will continue its development I'll kick some money your way.

Thanks for the kind words, Qinlongfei.
Concerns over accuracy have been voiced by both players like you and other devs. Over time I've come to agree that missing is absolutely no fun, and should only be due to special inaccurate abilities or the like. So far base Accuracy has been bumped up to 90%, and enemy Dodge/Block/Avoid has been reduced by half pretty much across the board. Even with Accuracy at 90% I've been told that it is still annoying (missing several times in a row or the like), so I'm starting to think there might be something wrong with the RNG. Will investigate this further and see how it may be improved.
Also very happy that you are enjoying the content and depth that there is. Pretty much everyone on the dev team are gigantic freaking nerds. We want people to enjoy reading new dialogue or encyclopedia entries and ideally be at least a little immersed. The process of warming up you're waifu should be as satisfying, or more satisfying, than actually having you're waifu, too.
Writing has been in a rut but it looks like we're getting over that.
