Tried to do what I did in previous build: start human princess quest line and then do Kobold Princess quest. Bard Knight tells me I have forgotten my place and he won't accompany to the glacier, which admittedly is a very cool feature that actually fit into the character and won't just let me cheat.
But after his conversation I get this message:

Then the game crashes.

I don't want to be annoying, but it's a new patch and the bug I mentioned still happens in this new version. At least on my computer.
And speaking of update... new areas, new companion and new princess is good and all, but I personally would like to see you guys complete Human Princess' quest line first, or at least doesn't make it an instant Game Over after rescuing her and return. Especially now that Bard Knight refuse to go on another quest until I rescue Human Princess. Since her quest is the easiest to complete if one knows what to do, and Bard Knight is really helpful in combat with his persistent buff ability.

I'll be sure to take another look at this with the upcoming patch. The crash wasn't replicatable on my end with 0.119, but maybe checking again will do the trick.
Our current plan is to get Boy Princess and Knight Princess rescuable, since the three human princesses will have their future quests intermingled and somewhat interacting. Once that is taken care of we'll determine whether or not we should continue adding in more princesses or get the current quests more functional and completed.
I understand the Game Over screen being irritating, but there's a lot that needs to occur right after Human Princess is rescued, and that's the easiest way to handle it at this point in time.

I tried again from a fresh start (since last time I used my old .118 save and I thought maybe that's breaking the game). Still get a crash after Bard Knight says he won't be accompanying me on the quest. Not sure what I did wrong.
I guess your explanation makes sense from a game developing point. Guess I'll just be waiting for the version where you guys have the finished human princesses trinity. Especially since the save doesn't seem to be 100% forward version compatible yet. Starting anew and have to grind my level up again every new version can be a bit tedious.
Best of luck to your game. I definitely enjoy the form of gameplay more than Towergirls Kingdom Conquest's ARPG using Gamemaker design. And honestly, I think combining both traditional western CRPG with kingdom management element could work wonderfully if you guys can deliver the content. One thing I really hate about traditional western CRPG is there's never a good narrative reason on why I have to limit my party size to either 4-6 max and leave some companions behind (Other than gameplay balancing of course). With Kingdom management element it makes sense you need to leave some of your buddies behind to guard your territory.
